Rookies Mbao FC began their maiden Vodacom league appearance with a shocking goalless draw against Stand United in Shinyanga while Mtibwa Sugar fell at home to another promoted side Ruvu Shooting in Manungu.
In Dar es Salaam,Moneybags Azam FC squeezed a draw against visiting African Lyon also promoted from the lower tier .Azam had to thank John Bocco who salvaged a draw at the dead after Hood Mayanja had put the visitors ahead in the 47th minute .
