Kenyan international defender David Owino “Calabar” is among three Zesco United players in CAF best XI from round six of the 2016 Champions League.

The versatile stopper known for his aerial prowess and keen eye for goal during set pieces was on the mark for the Coach George Lwandamina’s outfit, opening score in a 1-1 draw against Wydad Casablanca at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Wednesday 24.

The Zambians qualified for semi-finals where Mamelodi Sundowns awaits as group “A” runner up.

Also in the list of outstanding performers from “Team Ya Ziko” are midfielder Misheck Chaila and winger John Ching’andu.

The leading top scorer in the tournament Mfon Udoh of Enyimba International also headlines the list; he netted a brace in their dead rubber 3-1 win against Mamelodi Sundowns, who are already through to semi-finals on Tuesday 23.

His teammates Nzube Anaezemba and John Uche are also in the roll of honor.
