FIFA and CAF Executive committee member Hani Abou-Reida has been elected as incumbent of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA).

Abou-Reida who has been holding the FIFA top seat since 2009 will perforate the void left by Gamal Allam who resigned early this year to prevent FIFA from banning Egypt for Government interference.

In 2012, Reida’s bid to become EFA Chairman was unsuccessful after he was disqualified for serving twice in the Executive committee board.He served as EFA vice chairman before resigning his post.

The 63 years Old was named in the Guardian report among FIFA Officials who were investigated for money laundering scandal in 2015.

Engineer as professional, Reida has been President for the Local Organising Committee of Youth tournament such as the FIFA World Cup U20, 17 and FIFA Women Cup.
