After opening his account in the new season for KCCA in a league victory against Soana FC on Tuesday at Philip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, Muzamir Mutyaba is pumped up and is baying for more blood.

Mutyaba doubled the score for the defending champions in the 72nd minute after the reigning Ugandan premier league most valuable player Joseph Ochaya had handed them the lead from the spot in the 64th minute.

“I knew that by scoring a goal I will get the burden and pressure off my back and so I went for it. This is just the start and I’m sure I will hit the 12-goal mark I set for my target this season,” Mutyaba told the club’s official portal.

Mutyaba was quite enterprising on the day, engineering moves and creating assists that Paul Mucureezi and Geoffrey Sserunkuma could not take full advantage of to alter the score line even further; the silky playmaker is looking forward to a continued bullish form when they face newbies Onduparaka on Friday.

“I want to have a similar decent outing against Onduparaka (on Friday) as I drive the team forward.”
