Football training camps not only aimed at playing football in a different environment but a wide range of other activities that are of massive benefit to the players are also carried out.
Last week Thursday Azam Uganda Premier League newly promoted side Proline FC used the league break and went for a three day camp at the FUFA technical Center in Njeru, Jinja.
The team visited an orphanage called Jeremiah House Organisation in Bukaya, Jinja and engaged with the young boys on a number of topics.
The team also attended different class sessions that were conducted by the club director Mujib Kasule, the club CEO William Bakkabulinde and the club councilor on different important topics like life values, self awareness, traits/groups of people most players fall under and also how to use different social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, etc to their advantage as footballers.
At the end of the camp, all players were happy and thankful to their bosses and requested them to occasionally organize such retreats whenever it’s possible to help them be responsible citizens not only in football but also in the social, economic and political world.
