Due to what he terms “shameful lies” about his unpaid salary, Uganda Cranes Head Coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic has confirmed legal action against his employers.
“Due to shameful lies about my duly earned and deserved unpaid salary, I’m forced to take swift legal action while continuing professional job.” Micho tweeted late Wednesday.
According to the gaffer currently viewed as a national hero after qualifying the Cranes to their first ever African Cup of Nations in 38-years, he is owed a five month salary by the Ugandan federation (FUFA), a position the body through their spokesperson Ahmed Hussein contradicts.
“We have already paid, but if he has chosen to take that route of blowing it up in the public of course we cannot respond to that.” Ahmed told Soka25east.com last night.
The Serbian served FUFA with letters of demand in June and August to no avail, prompting the decision to take legal through his lawyers.
The former Orland Pirates manager is none the less focused on his professional work and he is already plotting for a serious stab at the Gabon hosted African Cup of Nations next year with build-ups already in the pipeline.
