Multiple Ugandan premier league winners SC Villa Jogoo have beefed up their squad by signing former Sofapaka SC forward Faudi Ndayisenga and Brazillian Franca Tiago Lino Alves.
Burundian, Ndayisenga is crossing over from the Kenyan Premier League also known as “Sportpesa Premier League” where he was with the 2009 champions during the 2015 season.
The former Vital’O player has also plied his trade in the Rwandan league and has been a prominent face with the national team since 2008. He believes he will shine in Uganda owing to his vast experience;
“I have played in Burundi,Kenya and Rwanda so I have garnered enough experience to help me play here and I’m looking forward to that.” He said.
Ndayisenga began his career at Vital’O club in Burundi in 2006 before crossing over to Rwanda in 2008 joining APR. He later moved to Kiyovu Sports between 2009- 2011. From Kiyovu,Ndayisenga moved to Rayon Sports where he played for four years before joining Sofapaka in Kenya in 2015.
Meanwhile Tiago is joing the Blues from Associacao Desportiva Cultural commonly known as Icasa in Serie D of the Campeanato Brasileiro league.
The midfielder operates on the left wing despite being right footed. He is braced for the new challenge at Villa and he is hopeful his stay will make him a better player.
“I’m happy to join SC Villa. It is my first time in Africa and a new challenge ahead of me but I believe I will settle in early and become resourceful to the club.” Tiago said on his unveiling ceremony.
