NAPSA stars visit Kabwe Warriors in epic Midlands derby

Godfrey Chitalu stadium this afternoon hosts a fixture in the FAZ Super Division of perennial midland rivals Kabwe Warriors and Napsa Stars.

The reverse fixture in Lusaka at Woodlands stadium ended 2-0 in favour of NAPSA stars and Warriors will be looking to set the record straight by claiming a win at home.

Three points are crucial if Warriors are to maintain a march towards a top 4 finish but it is very difficult to see how Mohamed Fathi’s side will produce the needed goals against a determined NAPSA Stars.

Without a recognized striker the People’s team have struggled to find the back of the net. One goal in the last 3 games is not a good return but many worried fans will hope their teams get things right this time.

Josphat Kasusu is expected as usual to play in the number 9 role with Godfrey Ngwenya as the supporting forward.

NAPSA stars on the other hand are improving by the day and a win will do them good in their bid to sail clear of the relegation zone.

The Pensioners struggled for points in the first half of the season which saw them languish in the bottom three of the table.

But after a few changes to the technical bench, they now lie in 9th position.

A last minute goal from Enock Mwepu sealed a 0-1 away win at Nchanga Rangers which means NAPSA Stars come into this match with a positive attitude.

Coach Tenant Chilumba once a player at Warriors wont be present to face the Kabwe based outfit.

However, three Ex-Warriors players in the name of Keegan Zulu, Maunga Kabuku and Banda Henry are expected to feature for NAPSA.

The match is a classic Midlands Derby therefore expect a lot of intensity.
