Kenya’s Harambee Stars home based professionals will on October 29 play their counterparts from Cameroon, the Indomitable Lions, in a warm-up, in Nairobi, as confirmed by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Robert Muthomi.
“It’s true we will host Cameroon in Nairobi. It is not a FIFA calendar match, but our aim is to start building a team for CHAN 2018 and also give other players who have not been active for the national team a chance to be seen.” Mr. Muthomi told Soka25east.com.
Stars under Coach Stanley Okumbi are building a future team having been knocked out of both the 2018 World Cup and the AFCON 2017 campaigns.
The federation’s long term commitment is to qualify Kenya to the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
