Senegal International Sadio Mane scored a goal and assisted another in his home debut for Liverpool as the reds demolished champions Leicester 4-1 at Anfield this evening.
Mane was in terrific form on the day that Liverpool were unveiling their new main stand.
Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino opened the scoring for Jurgen Klopp’s men in the 13th minute beating two Leicester defenders and coolly slotted home.
Mane got onto the scoresheet in the 31st minute latching onto a deliciously worked backheel from Daniel Sturrudge to double Liverpool’s lead with a chip over Kasper Schmeichel.
Jamie Vardy pulled a goal back for Leicester just before the break from Lucas Leiva’s calamitous mistake but the home side came out of their blocks in the second half to increase the lead to 3-1.

Mane was involved in Liverpool’s fourth goal this time beating Kasper Schmeichel for pace and calmly squared the ball for Firmino to round up a 4-1 demolition.
