Sportpesa Premier League side AFC Leopards is courting renowned Ugandan coach Sam Timbe as well as Ghananian coach David Duncan to take over as the next Ingwe trainer.
Impeccable sources told the Soka25east today that the club has already started negotiation talks with both coaches with Ugandan Sam Timbe likely to make a return to Kenya.
Timbe is said to have already made contact with Ingwe with talks being at advanced stage and once if all terms are agreed between the two parties the coach will be in the den by November.
Soon after AFC failed to qualify to the Gotv quarter finals the club fired Belgian head coach Ivan Minnaert at the beggining of September.
But information reaching the Soka25east yesterday suggested AFC management through the club’s chairman had interviewed Ghananian David Duncan as they continue searching for a coach.
Of the coaches two coaches lined-up, Timbe has the biggest and most impressive curriculum vitae as he has coached at the Kenya Premier League with Sofapaka before and is credited for assisting diffrent clubs win the Cecafa Kagame Championship.
His success in Africa with Atraco of Rwanda, Sofapaka of Kenya, Uganda’s SC Villa and then Yanga SC of Tanzania led him to be one of the best club coaches in the CECAFA region.
For David Duncan , he has coached Ghana Premier League sides Hearts of Oak, AshantiGold, Great Olympics and Sekondi Hasaacas.
