The President of the Republic of Uganda H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is due to honor the 2016 Uganda Cranes football team and other support staff on 9th October 2016 at Luuka District Headquarters.
‘We are in receipt of the invitation dated 30th September, 2016 signed off by Chancellor/Secretary, Presidential Awards Committee Businge S.T. Amooti which has a list of people to be honored and was addressed to the Executive Director of Federation of Uganda Football Association’ said Ahmed Hussein-FUFA Communications Manager.
‘The Committee has requested FUFA to inform and organize the people on the list to be at the venue on that day’ added Hussein.
No single FUFA Official is invited on this list.
The golden generation broke a 30-year jinx – beating Comoros on the last day to qualify for the 2017 Gabon Nations Cup.
