Dar es Salaam giants Young African’s could move its home matches to the Amaan Stadium in zanzibar after being locked out of the National Stadium following crowd trouble that marred their league match against rivals Simba at the weekend .
In the match Burundian Amiss Tambwe scored from what looked like an assisted hand ball but the referee ignored,matters however became worse when Simba’s Jonas Mkude was shown a straight red after causing mayhem thereafter.Chaos erupted with the simba fans throwing the plastic seats into the stadium,
Yanga’s information acting secretary Baraka Deusdedit said they have written a letter to the Zanzibar Sports ministry asking to use the Amaan stadium .
Amaan Stadium in the archipelago Zanzibar was built in 1972 and is the largest stadium in the island of Zanzibar with a capacity of 15,000.It houses Zanzibar league clubs namely Miembeni and Malindi FC
It is however not clear which stadium their rivals Simba will opt to use
