Daniel Otto is a Ugandan-born footballer who currently plays for African Kireka United in the FUFA BIG LEAGUE.
Born to the late Ayo Hellen and late Esterem Boaz on 23/09/1996, he began his football career at Destiny Soccer Academy in Luzira with the likes of Sadat Sekajja, Moses Waisswa (currently in Sweden) among others.
The talented – hard tackling midfielder who is a big admirer of Andres Iniesta, Dimitr Payet and Antoinne Griezman featured in the famous COPA COCA COLA (annual football school’s tournament) while at school for giants Buddo Secondary School and current defending champions Kibuli Secondary School.
His azaming displays tempted top flight club Sports Club Victoria University to lure him from his home club Kireka in 2012.
While at SCVU he met players such as Denis Iguma, Savio Kabugo, Juuko Murushid, Mugerwa Yasser, Mpuuga Martin, among others and greatly impressed hence receiving the national U20 Hippos call up in his first season and later U23 Kobs call up in 2014/15 season.
From SCVU, Otto flew to Tanzania for his first ever Professional stint and joined African Lyon Football Club which he terms as his best ever moment in football so far.
The midfielder whose dream is to play in Europe returned to Uganda in 2016 and missed on a move to Sweden for professional trials due to Visa delays and highly hopes to leave in January 2017.
He has since signed a short term contract with his home based side Kireka United as he aims at keeping his fitness levels high ahead of his dream move to Europe for trials.
