If there is one player that Red Arrows has relied upon for a couple of seasons is Bronson Chama who has been there for a team and has gained more knowledge about the team. Bwezani of Soka25east talked to him to get up close with him
BWEZANI WITH ZAMBIAN FOOTBALL: BRONSON JUST SHARE A BIT OF YOURSELF. WHO IS BRONSON?
BRONSON CHAMA: Nothing much am Bronson Malama Chama born in Mufulira.
BWZF: WE TALK ABOUT FOOTBALL TODAY, TELL US YOUR HISTORY IN FOOTBALL AND HOW MANY CLUBS HAVE YOU PLAYED FOR?
BC: Its quite been a journey, to start with I started playing football with a small team called Kaidesai with an Indian person who used to support it. it is from that team that I joined Mufulira Wanderers and by then Mighty was in division one. I moved to Nkana the following year. I also played for Kitwe United and Kabwe Warriors before moving to Red Arrows in 2013. So this is my third year at Red Arrows
BWZF: HAVE YOU WON ANYTHING AS A RED ARROWS PLAYER?
BC: Yes, Bwezani I was part of the Barclays Cup in2013
BWZF: Why do you think it is taking too long for Red Arrows to replicate their 2004 season
BC: I think its matter of time nothing else and our time will surely come. I hope very soon.
BWZF: LOOKS LIKE RED ARROWS IS SAFE THIS SEASON EVEN WITH ONE GOAL PER GAME AVERAGE THINGS HAVE KIND OF WORKED? HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE THE 2016 SEASON?
BC: its being a very challenging season for us after the Military training but we have recovered now am sure you can see from our last five games and we have improved without a loss
BWZF: LET’S GET PERSONAL. WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BEST GAME FOR RED ARROWS THIS SEASON?
BC: Bwezani it is really difficult to pick one and say it was the best. For me every game is important and especially those that you win as a team, of course you can pick one game but it’s not important. The most important thing is to win games a s a team
BWZF: ANY WORST GAME YOU REMEMBER?
BC: All the games we lost. Those are the worst games.
BWZF: WHO IS YOUR BEST FRIEND AT RED ARROWS?
BC: To be honest I can’t pick out one friend, everyone is my friend.
BWZF: WHICH TEAM DO YOU THINK WILL WIN THE 2016 SUPER LEAGUE?
BC: I think it’s not yet decided and I can only say so far, Its ZANANCO, Nkana and Power Dynamos who stand a better chance to win it but you know football can change very fast.
BWZF: AMONG THE THREE TEAMS YOU TIPPED TO WIN THE LEAGUE, PICK ONE WHICH YOU THINK WILL WIN IT.
BC: I think ZANANCO has 805 chance grabbing it.
BWZF: WHICH TEAMS DO YOU THINK WILL BE RELEGATED BRONSON?
BC: May I say it is not good to be relegated and at the moment I wouldn’t want to mention any team that I feel will be relegated. Numbers will tell us at the end of the season.
BWZF: DEFENDERS ALWAYS REMEMBER DIFFICULT AND DANGEROUS THEY FACE DURING THE GAME. WHICH STRIKER HAS BEEN GIVING YOU SERIOUS PROBLEMS?
BC: (Laughs) Bwezani I won’t waste time on that one but I will pick Moses Phiri
BWZF: WHICH TEAM DO YOU ENJOY PLAYING AGAINST?
BC: Every team really but you know in football beating the top four is always fun and hence I enjoy playing against ZESCO, ZANANCO, Power Dynamos and Green Buffaloes FC
BWZF: WHAT NEXT FOR BRONSON AND RED ARROWS AFTER THIS SEASON?
BC: For me I think nothing much, I just need to improve and stay health and thank God that am fit and injury free. For the club I think we have to get back to the drawing board especially if we look at what we went through this season, Am sure we shall come back stronger.
BWZF: YOUR LAST REMARKS BRONSON.
