Sports tribunal has restrained Football Kenya Federation’s Annual General Meeting Saturday, October 15, from discussing Kenyan Premier League expansion.
The orders sought by KPL extend to deliberations on anything related to body’s mandate to own, run and manage the topflight.
Top on the agenda tomorrow, was among others: ratification of the contentious decision to expand KPL from 16-team to 18-team league starting next season and suspension of individuals working “outside” the federation.
“We took the root of going to the sports tribunal because FKF did not follow the agreed roadmap to expanding the league as was agreed previously,” KPL Chief Executive Officer Jack Oguda told Soka25east.com.
The tribunal will hear from both parties on November 8 after FKF files response.
