The Sportpesa Premier league continues this weekend after two matches played on thursday and friday ended in draws
main action shifts to the coastal city of Mombasa where league leaders Tusker are under pressure to consolidate their lead at the top when they meet unpredictable Bandari FC at the Mbaraki Sports complex in Mombasa.
Tusker who are on the driving seat with 48 points after 25 matches,four ahead of second placed and defending champions Gor mahia would avoid a slip in the match .Gor Mahia will be out of league action as they take on Muhoroni Youth in the final of the Top 8 knockout final.They however have a rescheduled League match against high riding Western Stima on wednesday at the Nyayo National Stadium.
A win for the brewers would send them to 51 points with 26 matches,7 points ahead of Gor Mahia with
Bandari at position 11 with 31 points woiuld want to avoid a poor showing considering that they are just at the borderline of the relegation zone,their match agaisnt Tusker is a must win for the Ken Odhiambo side .
At the Awendo Green Stadium,visiting Sofapaka already in the relegation zone will meet 10th placed Sony Sugar who are either not safe ,The Millers will try to take advantage of their homegound to claw Batoto Ba Mungu who have recorded mixed results in the latest league outing. Sofapaka would not be an easy ride for the millers according head coach David Ouma.
Another relegation battle match will be at the Thika County Stadium in Kiambu County where Kawangware based side City Stars will meet Thika United .
