Michael Olunga scored twice to take his Swedish League tally to ten goals in eleven games and ended his club Djurgardens IF’s four match winless streak.
The former Gor Mahia man notched a quick-fire first and second half brace in the Djurgardens 2-1 win over Helsingborg IF on Thursday night.
Mark Dempsey’s side came into the game as a wounded side and within the half hour mark, Olunga had registered his name on the score sheet.
The Kenyan International opened the scoring in 31st minute, firing into an empty net following a defensive error at Hensingborg IF backline.
Peter Lerreson scored an equalizer in 64th minute for the homeside before Olunga imposed his considerable talent a minute later flexing his neck to loop a brilliant header into the net past a helpless Helsingborg IF goalie.
Olunga will however carry one-match suspension due to yellow card accumulation.
