Just after confirming his move to Tanzanian giants Yanga,Coach George Lwandamina has already engaged Yanga for a possible move for midfield engine Meshack Chaila. The Zambian has already agreed personal terms with the Young Africans management and could leave Zesco for a 2 year deal.
According to a source from the club’s hierachy,an agreement with the midfielder is already complete and its said the zambian will help fill the position which has been a problem to them forcing them to use Mbuyu Twiet or Thabani Kamusoko both of e whom have been finding it difficult to hold the position.
Although the player has a remaining one year running contract with Zesco the Jangwani based club has began to negotiate with zesco for the switch in readiness for the second leg which begins in December 17th.
“They have reached an agreement with my manager for me to join on 15th Novemebr for a 2 year contract and now they are in agreement with Zesco for the financial part of it.Here at zesco they have no problem with releasing any player unless Yanga wont afford the asking price.” Chaila was quoted saying
Chaila who is set to wed tomorrow in Ndola has been a key figure for the George lwandamina side who were on the verge of reaching their maiden CAF Champions league final losing to eventual winners Sundowns.
He is known for his defensive approach in midfield and his tendency to destroy moves created by opponents. He was also instrumental for his club in the matches and he is willing to work under Lwandamina although he says he has got offers from other countries like south africa ,Egypt etc
