AFC Leopards unveiled new coach Stewart Hall on Monday in a function held at club’s headquarters at Vision Plaza in Nairobi.
The former coach at Azam(Tanzania) immediately revieled he is ready for the challenge and that his players will need to adopt to new physcology besides embracing commitment towards restoring the club image beggining next season.
“I therefore believe that nothing is impossible. I can make the fans smile again. But we also have to be realistic. Winning the league title may not be possible in the next year but I can assure Leopards that we shall make significant progress in the next year,” he said in an interview with league portal.
Having watched the team play aganist Sofapaka in the last match on Friday 28th October he indicated that he will work to freshen the demoralized playing unit that have been underwhelming in recent league matches.
“We need to restore confidence of the players; I want them to play with passion and I have started working on that from my first training session. It has been a hard season but these are things we need to do,”he added.
Hall signed a two-year contract at the club after resigning from Tanzania’s Azam in August taking overt from Belgian Ivan Minnaert who was sacked earlier this year over poor performance.
Previously, Hall has managed Zanzibar, Saint Vincent and Grenadines national sides.He also coached several clubs including Birmingham City’s academy side in England,Pune FC in India and Sofapaka FC where he had short stint before moving to Azam where he resigned under unclear circumstances.
Apart from coaching the main side Hall will also be tasked in supervising the junior team that will act as an academy for the club.
