Nkana football Club on sunday beat Napsa Stars 2-1 to continue piling pressure on log Leaders Zanaco who also easily dispatched off Forest Rangers .

Coach Aggrey Chiyangi was happy with his teams win and says its a big motivation going forward. Chiyangi told the Post Newspaper that
It was a must win game for his team considering the bad record the team has when it comes to Napsa stars [ last 10 games, 3 wins, 2 draws and 5 losses]

“It’s very important because it is a motivation. We knew it was going to be a tough game but we had no option but to go there and work hard, fight well and get a positive result. Last year, they beat us home and away so this season we said they cannot beat us. When we went to Lusaka, we drew so when we came here, we said ‘this is our home, game no matter how hard they are, we Just have to push and make sure we beat them’,” Chiyangi told the post.

Nkana took the lead in the 18th minute courtesy of Simon Bwalya after some good foot work by man of the match Ronald “Sate-Sate” Kampamba. The leagues leading Topscorer Walter Bwalya soon doubled Nkana’s Advantage to score his 20th of the season.

Nkana have now moved to 63 points 5 adrift of log leaders Sensational Zanaco who have played 2 games less. Next up for Nkana is a tricky encounter against a team they have not managed to beat in about 16 years, the MTN/FAZ Super League defending Champions Zesco United on Sunday.
