Botswana Football Association (BFA) has a new Public Relations Officer Mr Tumo Mpatane. He took up his new position yesterday for an intial period of six months.
According to statement released by the football body, Tumo Mpatane,a qualified public relations adviser, brings with him wide-ranging experience in communications.
“BFA has appointed Tumo Mpatane to the position of public relations officer. Mpatane is a seasoned media practitioner and brings with him wealth of experience in sports news reporting and anchoring with emphasis on football. He is a media practitioner with a professional background in Business and Information Systems (Associate Degree) and Marketing. ” read the statement.
Mpatane new position is in line with the new football body that has adopted restructuring of its secretariat in order to bridge the gap between the organization and its various stakeholders.
Those close to the recruitment processes at the BFA said Mpatane’s MC’ing gigs especially during the Zebras AFCON qualifier against Burkina Faso has been used to judge his credibility among others.
