Daniel Otto scored late second half through penalty to guide Kireka United to victory over Mbale side Kataka FC in the FUFA Big league match day eight on Thursday 10 at Namboole stadium.

In a 50 50 first half, the visitors started on a high note initiating attacks from midfield but the Kireka defence led by captain Farouk Semambo and his goalkeeper Omwedwa Roger were alert to deal with the threats.

In the second half, the home side came back strong with an aim of getting a goal and their restless attacks paid off when substitute Ahmed Hassan was brought down in the box and the referee made no mistake to point to the spot zone.

The resultant penalty was calmly converted by Daniel Otto which was the only goal of the match.

Later on the visitors saw red with Philomon Mutumbagi the victim after a foul on goal scorer Otto.

The win meant Kireka United who play on form Masavu FC next week away from home successfully recovered from a 5-1 defeat against Mbarara City last week.
