My view in the FAZ MTN SUPER LEAGUE WEEK 33
There is a fight against relegation across the country this weekend

SATURDAY 19TH NOVEMEBER

Power Dynamos Vs Lumwana Radiants
Nkana Stadium
13:00hrs
Live on supersport
Power Dynamos are short of games to still fight for the second slot and their quest now is to improve their point tally. They are behind by 10 points from their town rivals. Lumwana still needs some points to ensure they are safe from relegation because this season doesn’t look like coming to an end.

We still do not know what will come out from the NCHANGA RANGERS appeal and hence teams should not look at that case and count themselves lucky.

This one will be a tough game for Lumwana but the team plays as unit as observed in the last games we have watched the North Western outfit.

For Power Dynamos, recently they are called a marvel to watch with their style of plays but not winning games. They will be playing this encounter at Nkana in a lunch hour kick off and these games are not easy. The only motivation for Lumwana is that this game is not at Athur Davies Stadium but the fans for Power will still flood the Nkana stadium.

I think Power Dynamos will win this one but again it will be a bit strange for them to play a home game at Nkana’s home.

MY VERDICT: Power Dynamos 3-1 Lumwana Radiants

Nkana Vs Red Arrows
Nkana Stadium
15:00hrs
Live on supersport
Nkana have a shout for the league but for me that is far fetched and it won’t happen because the title is going to Sunset but they are in a very good position to grab second and to achieve that, they have to win their last two games and hope ZESCO do not win their games in hand too.

Nkana host Red Arrows who have forgotten to play their passing game and score those beautiful goals. They are not playing for anything as they know they are safe.

There is nothing motivating for now from Red Arrows and they are playing to get off this season and try another shout next season.
Nkana are from a good result against ZESCO United away and that is not good news for Red Arrows as this Nkana side has everything to fight for in the last two games. Walter is also in hurry to bag the top scorers award and with Jesse Were losing form in front of goal this looks like a Walter Bwalya year and am sure he will score again in this game. IF you are looking for head to head Red arrows has accounted themselves very well at Nkana in the last visits.

MY VERDICT : Nkana 2-1 Red Arrows

Nchanga Rangers Vs Mufulira Blackpool
Nchanga Stadium
15:00hrs
Nchanga Rangers face demotion with or without points if they lose the appeal. This will be one of the stories of the season. The players showed character when they went ahead against ZESCO in the rescheduled game in Ndola but unfortunately they lost that game. They wouldnt want to lose this game and then go on to win the appeal. This is a game that could actually save Nchanga Rangers should the appeal go for them hence the message from the exco to the players will be “beat Mufulira Blackpool and wait for the appeal case” it’s a right call.

They host Mufulira Blackpool winless in as many games and they ‘re about to have a record of a team never to have won a a game the entire season in the super league. This is the second last. There is nothing inspiring for Mufulira Blackpool, they will lose this one again.

MY VERDICT: Nchanga Rangers 1-0 Mufulira Blackpool

Nakambala Leopards Vs NAPSA
Nakambala Stadium
15:00hrs
Teams should survive on merit and unfortunately Nakambala has really been very poor in the second round and the team deserve to go to division one but apparently this team may just survive because of the situation of Nchanga Rangers. That’s the only thing that will save Nakambala Leopards. If Nchanga Rangers will win the appeal then Nakambala will go down and if Nchanga Rangers lose the appeal then Nakambala will still play super league. Bit they can can change all that direction of they win their games starting with a home game against NAPSA.

NAPSA lost at home to Mufulira Wanderers in week 32 in a game they could have won and all of a sudden I don’t know what is happening to NAPSA. A team that was playing around Brian Lubaba looks a different team and only TC can explain what is going on but looks like there is something that need an explanation about players at NAPSA.

They are still a good side that can go to Mazabuka and get something and I think they will grab a point here because Nakambala Leopards do not look motivated.

MY VERDICT : Nakambala Leopards 1-1 NAPSA

Lusaka Dynamos Vs Nkwazi
Sunset Stadium
13:00hrs
Lusaka Dynamos are in relegation zone and they will remain in the relegation with a loss or a draw and it looks like Lusaka Dynamos could be one of the teams that will be joining Lusaka Tigers and MUFULIRA Blackpool in the red zone. But get it straight they can still move out of the relegation at the end of the two games if they were to win both games and either Nakambala and Mufulira Wanderers lose theirs. that would be a complicated situation.

Lusaka Dynamos is playing at home and they beat Red Arrows last time out and should they put their cards well, they may still beat Nkwazi. I like the way Nkwazi has gulvanised themselves as concetrating the whole 90 minutes and thats the danger Lusaka Dynamos should be weary of. Don’t think leading Nkwazi 1-0 in the 90 minutes is winning the game. wait untill the final minute.

Lusaka Dynamos will win

MY VERDICT : Lusaka Dynamos 1-0 Nkwazi

ZANACO Vs Green Eagles
Sunset Stadium
15:00hrs
ZANACO are close to the title and they can feel it but they have to still work extra hard before it turns the bridge too far. They have to make sure they win games before starting celebrating. ZANACO needs two wins and a draw to put the league to bed and start preparing for the CAF Champions league for the year 2017.

ZANACO has to keep their statistics of not conceding at home this season tight because that is another incetive that is driving the team. They have been excellent and they have scored a lot of goals to deserve this title. Take note that they may also be second should they lose to Green Eagles and Nkana beat Red Arrows in Kitwe, even with games in hand they wouldn’t want to put themselves in that situation.

The visitor is Green Eagles on 37 points and looks safe at the moment but everything can go wrong if the results of the bottom teams don’t go their way.

I don’t see Green Eagles beating ZANACO at Sunset and a double is eminent after this encounter.

MY VERDICT : ZANACO 2-0 Green Eagles

Lusaka Tigers Vs Kabwe Warriors
Independence Stadium
13:00hrs
Another lunch time kick off will be at Independence Stadium as Lusaka Tigers welcomes Kabwe Warriors who are in talks with having a coach after they released Muhammad Fathy. This Is an opportunity for Lusaka Tigers to pick something as they go down to the zones.

Kabwe Warriors are safe and they will just be looking at improving their position but I think Lusaka Tigers will get this one, they should be motivated after the 1-0 victory away at Blackpool.

MY VERDICT : Lusaka Tigers 1-0 Kabwe Warriors

Green Buffaloes Vs Forest Rangers
Independence Stadium
15:00hrs
This is one of the boring games of the weekend with both teams fighting for nothing as they are both safe. Green Buffaloes has been very poor among the top teams in conceding goals and that has really affected their goal difference.
Forest Rangers will still hope to be above Red Arrows and hence will push for whatever points they can get in this encounter knowing Red Arrows have a tricky encounter in Kitwe.

But GBFC is good at home and Forest Rangers wil have a busy afternoon.

MY VERDICT : Green Buffaloes 2-0 Forest Rangers

SUNDAY 20TH NOVEMBER 2016

Mufulira Wanderers Vs ZESCO United
Shinde Stadium
15:00hrs
Live on supersport
This will bring memories of the abandoned game played at Shide stadium last season were Gladys Lengwe on the centre was left with no choice but to stop the game in the middle of the first half due to crowd trouble. ZESCO United was leading by a goal and they would go on to get three points and three goals while Mufulira Wanderers would be banned from using Shinde Stadium and turn to play at Kafubu Stadium in Luanshya.

Am not seeing that happening as I think Mufulira. Wanderers has done tremendous work in enlightening their fans of the dangers of crowd trouble and hence expect ZESCO to be welcomed peacefully.

But on the field of play the battle is for the three points that each team will be looking for and this will be for different reasons. Mufulira Wanderers wants survival while ZESCO United wants the second spot or probably first spot should ZANACO slip. A loss for ZESCO in this encounter opens doors for Nkana who they would end on 72 points after this game if both teams are to win their remaining games. ZESCO has a good number of games in hand and they have to be clinical to win all of them which is not an easy turf.

Who wins it?
I think for me ZESCO stands a good chance of picking the three points in this encounter. They have a well balanced team than Mufulira Wanderers in all departments and upfront Mbombo is proving a good striker all of a sudden and he will trouble Mighty defence. I still do not know where the Mufulira goals will come from because their strikers looks to have challenges netting goals at home.

MY VERDICT : ZESCO United 2-1 Mufulira Wanderers
