Former Zambia and Zesco United head coach George Lwandamina was today (Friday 25) officially been unveiled as new coach of Tanzania giants Yanga SC.

“The Chicken” as 53-year-old is popularly known back home assumes the post previously held by Dutchman Hans Van de Pluijm on a two-year contract.

Pluijm will remain within the club’s rank as technical director.

Lwandamina is joining the “Jangwani” street boys fresh from guiding Zesco to unprecedented CAF Champions League semi-final berth.

He won the Zambian Super League twice with Zesco in 2014 and 2015.
