Former Gor Mahia manager Frank Nuttal expressed his desire to coach 2016 CAF Champions league semifinalists Zesco United.

Nutta, is a name respected so much by K’ogalo fans after guiding them to back to back league titles–twice, two domestic titles and the final of 2016 Cecafa Kagame Cup.

In an exclusive interview with soka25east.com, the Scottish manager stressed the reason behind his admiration to the former Zambia Super league Champions.

“It’s a club that is ambitious and has big excitations and demands.

That is normal for me in my work and i can bring further success to Zesco”, said Nuttal.

Frank Nuttal’s impeccable archives can be seen in David Odhiambo whom he briefly tutored in Kenya. He could not resist to talk about Calabar and his outstanding performances at Zesco United.

“David was my captain and we won the league together.We have good understanding and work well together.

“He knows the highest professional of standards i demand and helped me a lot in my first season at Gor Mahia to communicate that to other players.

“I’m not surprised that he sometimes captains Zesco and he’s well respected by the fans”, said Nuttal.

In pursuit for greener pasture and experience life in other countries, Nuttal had to switch to Zamalek as an assistant to his countrymen Alex McLeish.

Despite helping the Whites Knights to the group stages of the 2016 CAF Champions league the, scots were disappointed to have been relieved of their duties by controversial Chairman of the board Mortada Mansour.

The vacancy of head coach at Zescolo was left by George Lwandamina following his move to Young Africa in Tanzania.
