Muhoroni Youth FC have been given a period of thirty days by Indepedent Displinary and Complaints Commitee (IDCC) to pay Ksh 349,000 in salary arrears and compensation to their two former players for unfair termination of employment.
Andrew Ongwae and Mark Okwata will receive Sh 189,000 and 160,000 respectively after presenting their case to the committee through Kenya Footballers Welfare Association.
The verdict was given on December 5,2016 in favour of the pair following the case presented on October 18 2016 to IDCC claiming that Muhoroni had wrongfully dismissed them in March this year.
Muhoroni Youth FC have been recently hit by controversies with the majority of senior players compalining of poor working conditions with over ten players requesting the management to release them.
Recently, there were reports that emerged from various quarters about unrest between players and the team’s management, that led to a fight which saw several players injured.
After the urgly incidence some players like Lwamba Bebeto, Andrew Sekayombya among others were suspended for unforeseeable future.
Seveal other players from the same outfit have also presented their cases to the IDCC though the committee has failed to verify the reports.
