Gor Mahia FC electoral board has announced 26 candidates that will participate in the upcoming club elections set for Sunday 11th December, 2016.

This comes after process of paper submission was completed yesterday, December 5, 2016 at the club secretariat at Nyayo National Stadium offices in Nairobi.

Some of the candidates going for the top post of Chairman include the current chair Ambrose Otieno Rachier, Chrispine Omondi and Dan Oketch Ang’ila.

The electoral board confirmed that the participants who will participate in the elections process have all been vetted after the completion of submission of nomination papers as per club’s electrol requirements.

Already one of the candidates, Francis Wasuna will assume office unopposed after failing to get an opponent for the position of Senior Vice Chairman.

Members eligible to participate in the upcoming elections were supposed to have verified their names on voters register by 28th November 2016 with recruitment drive having been closed seven days earlier.
