Africa’s representative at the FIFA Club World Cup Mamelodi Sundowns are getting set to play their first match on Sunday 11 December 2016 against Japanese outfit Kashima Antlers.
The South Africans are participating at the FIFA Club World Cup in Japan with the desire to replicate their success in the CAF Champions League.
Kashima defeated Auckland City at the International Stadium Yokohama to set up a meeting with the African Champions.
And Sundowns returned to training today after calling off their first session citing player fatigue as a result 22 hour flight from Johannesburg to Osaka.
According to the club’s official website, The Brazilians could not train upon arrival as the jetlag had taken it’s toll on the players.
