Lesotho reached the semi-finals of the 2016 Cosafa U-20 Championships after beating Botswana 1-0 in a Group A match played on Saturday at Mogwase Stadium in South Africa.
After a dour first half, Lesotho scored in the last minute of the match when Tseliso Botswane fired a volley into the back of the net after meeting a wonderful cross from left.
Botswana started the match on a high note and Lesotho goalkeeper Monaheng Ramafelane made superb saves from Mangolo, Cooper and Kgomo.
But Lesotho forwards could race infront clear with the Botswana keeper also forced to make good saves.
It was a harsh ending for Botswana, who came so close with thier attacks that would have been deserved on balance of play in the second half.
That they were undone by a dubious poor finishing and a last-minute goal when they had thrown everyone forward will be a bitter memory to reflect on when they look back at this year tournament.
The Zebras shaded a cagey first half as both sides looked more afraid to make a mistake than be prepared to try to make something happen.
Botswana had the best of very few chances in the opening period, with Mangolo firing over from 12 yards after he had been played in by a short pass from Fortune.
And the Zebras showed more ambition as Lesotho, as they appeared edgy and inhibited.
Moane thumped another effort just wide after coming in off the wing, while Lesotho keeper Ramalefane did well to pounce on a low cross from Tinye to stop the ball reaching Thato Kebue.
The game was crying out for something different and 40 seconds after the break, Lesotho brought on Kamela, who had failed to win back his place in the starting line-up
It took six minutes for the winger to make an impact.
Lesotho skipper Mabone delivered a cross that fell on Botswane path for a wonderful cracker for the goal.
