Uganda Cranes officially kick started their AFCON training programme on Monday morning with 27 players out of the 40 initially summoned.
They began with a gym session at Paradise Fitness Gym and later headed to Kabira play grounds in Bukoto for easy field play that lasted for about an hour.
Head coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojovic was happy they started the program, but not impressed only six professionals showed up.
“I am happy for the start although not impressed with the first session but i believe as other players jet in we shall mentally and tactically get effective,” he said.
Tusker FC classy left back Shafiq Batambuze sat out the field training at Kabira due to a minor stomach ache.
