Ethiopian club Dedebit FC have set their sights on overturning a 2-0 first leg, first round deficit against Nigerian club Warri Wolves in the Caf Confederation Cup on Sunday.

Wolves won easily in the first leg decided at the Warri City Stadium on March 14 thanks to goals from Oghenekaro Etebo and Gbolahan Salami.

Tsuanu is certain Dedebit will be in the draw for the second round of the competition and predicts a big win for his side on Sunday.

“I will not lie, Wolves were better than us in the first leg but I am sure we will win big in the second leg.

“The strengths of the Wolves team are their midfield and attack. They are extremely strong in the air but we will be well-prepared in the second leg,” Tsuanu told supersport.com.

Tsuanu almost turned out for six-time Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, Enyimba.

The Nigerian striker explained that he had no regrets failing to make the grade in Aba but revealed his pride at turning out for Dedebit against a Nigerian club in Nigeria.

“To have played against a Nigerian club in Nigeria was a thing of pride. This (Nigeria) is my home and I felt very emotional playing here.

“I once had trials for Enyimba but it did not end successfully but I have no regrets.

“I then tried to play for (another Nigerian side) OUK but it did not work out. I also had trials for the Nigeria under-17 and under-20 teams but when I failed, I knew it was time to move.

“I am very happy in Ethiopia with Dedebit FC,” he said.

Dedebit have never gone beyond the first round of the Caf Confederation Cup in their previous two attempts, in 2011 and 2013.
