Uganda Cranes midfielder Geofrey Baba Kizito out classed his national team mate Moses Oloya as Than Quang Nigh defeated Hanoi T&T on Wednesday 4-3 to lift the Vietnam Super Cup after a 3-3 draw in normal time.
Both players featured on either sides putting up convincing performances in the curtain raiser match ahead of the upcoming league.
The Vietnam super cup is played between winners of the Vietnam Premier league and winners of the Vietnam cup. Hanoi T&T won the Vietnam Premier league while Than Quang Nigh lifted the Vietnam Cup.
Both Oloya and Kizito now shift attention to the Cranes where they will team up with the rest of the squad in Tunisia for a friendly match against the hosts and later fly to Dubai for a training camp and more build up matches against Slovakia and Ivory Coast ahead of the January AFCON in Gabon.
