Muhoroni 1-0 Western Stima

The ill-tempered match that was played at the Muhoroni stadium on Saturday 25^th was stopped for over 20 minutes in the first half when the home fans engaged few travelling Stima fans in fierce confrontation that later degenerated into running battles, center referee had to stop the match in the 35^th minute after Stima technical bench felt unsafe; additional police was called in to beef up security.

The match however continued after wide consultations and two minutes into the extra time Youthful striker Notikelly Masasi was fouled inside the box, his counterpart Abbas Akinyemi stepped up to score the only goal of the game.

The win is the second for Muhoroni this season; they climb to position 12 in the KPL log with 10 points.

Pace setters Stima will now go back to the drawing board and rediscover their winning touch after losing twice in a row, the Coach Henry Omino side was less convincing in this encounter wasting the few scoring chances that came their way; they drop to 5^th with 15 points.

Tusker 1-0 AFC Leopards

The 22^nd strike by Kevin Kimani from a free kick position just outside the box was enough to condemn Ingwe to second successive loss. The win lift the brewers to 3^rd position with 15 points same as Western Stima but with a better goal difference.

Coach Francis Kimanzi was satisfied with the back to back win; “I’m satisfied with the result, it could have been something more but what we are looking for is to build from match to match. Slim win but its three points and that’s what’s important.”

AFC Leopards who have had issues of players going on a go slow and refusing to train demanding owed salaries and allowances throughout this week wasted so many scoring chances with Emmanuel Ngama, Joseph Shikokoti and Noah Wafula being the biggest culprits; this did not pass head coach Zdravko Logaruric, “We must continue with training because only training can help improve of our coordination and sharpness in front of goal.”

Ingwe drops to position 9 in the KPL log with 12 points from 9 matches.

Sony FC 3-1 Chemelil FC

Chemelil’s poor form continued when they lost their second successive match away in Awendo on Saturday . Andrew Asembekwa scored in the 10^th minute to put the hosts in the lead, this lasted into breather.

Chemelil came back  stronger into the second half and they equalized in the 72^nd minute through Daniel Mutahi, the scoreline did not last and in the 83^rd minute Meshack Muyonga restored Sony’s lead before super sub Kennedy sealed the three points with the last minute  strike in the 88^th minute.

Sony moves to 6^th in the KPL log with 14 points from 8 matches while Chemelil FC sinks deeper to position 13 with seven points from 9 matches.
