Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor believes he is ready for the tough mission that waits him in today’s Africa Cup of Nations group C fixture aganist Ivory Coast.
The 32-year-old striker formely with Crystal Palace said yesterday after the last traning season that together with his teammates they are ready for the big match.
“We are ready and we want to do something extraordinary for our supporters”, said Adebayor in an interview with Togofoot website.
Adebayor who also played for Arsenal as a striker acknowledges that Ivory Coast will not be easy to maneuver but Togo want to stand and be counted for not only having young players but as a side that boast of Nations Cup finals experience.
” Ivory Coast is very strong team with many young players but we also have young players very talented and we have more than half of the team that has already been at Africa Cup of Nations.
“It is to Côte d’Ivoire to lead the game, we will quietly play our game and we will see what it will give in the end,” concluded Adebayor.
The match will be played this evening beggining at 1900hrs East Africa Time and will be beamed live various television stations across rhe continent.
