Captain Asamoah Gyan says the Black Stars will be going into the Mali game with the absolute intention of winning.
Ghana had tough time in their first match winning by 1-0 aganist Uganda in the opening Group D fixture of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday.
The four-time African champions are now red-faced to secure their second win of the campaign to put them on right track in their title ambitions here in Gabon.
And Gyan who is tasked with leading the Ghana team to ending a 33-year wait for an African title says the mentality going into the game against Mali on Saturday is to win.
“We will be much focused in this game because if we are able to win definetly we will be making to second round,”Gyan told soka25east.
“Mali have been tough in the past but they should not forget we beat them in qualifiers.We have now a strong team that will carry the day.
“We have fast players who will be matching the huge Malian players.Tactically we will be much displined to defeat them,”Gyan added.
Ghana with three point are now leading Group A ahead of Mali,Egypt and Uganda in the second round of group games.
