Gor Mahia have planned a friendly match against Thika United to be played on Saturday.
The match will be played at Camp Toyoyo grounds as from 4:00pm as a preparatory measure prior to the start of SportPesa Kenya Premier League.
“We have moved quickly to get this game against Thika so that the preseason regimen can go on according to the coach’s plans. I know that preseason preparations are crucial and we want the players to have the best and most elaborate preps so that we can go on and reclaim what we lost last season,” Gor Organising Secretary Judith Anyango told the official Kenya Premier League portal.
This is the second high profile friendly fixture this year .The first was aganist Sudan League Champions Al Hilal where K’Ogalo lost 1-0 in match played on January 18 in Khartoum.
The fourteen Kenya Premier League champions have also lined up a friendly match against Uganda Premier League club Onduparaka in Kampala on February 4.
In a bid to have a strong squad to challenge for the title, Gor have signed 10 players so far, the most notable, 2016 SPL Most Valuable Player Kenneth Muguna, and Joash Onyango, from Western Stima, Rwandan Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza and AFC Leopards forward John Ndirangu.
