Thika United have released three players ahead of new SportPesa Premier League season.
Ugandan forward Brian Toorach, is one of those to leave, along with defenders Eric Lusala and Patrick Maina.
The youngster has struggled to impress at the Thika-based club, and coach James Nadwa has decided to offload him alongside the two other who have flopped since joining the side.
Information on the club portal indicate that the three have been dropped to pave way for the new signings, who will strengthen the team for new season.
Two more youngsters will ship-out for loan deals which are being formulated in an effort to develop some of the new young crop who have joined the club.
Meanwhile Head Coach James Nandwa has identified six to seven players who are in the final stages of signing into the team,
“We have let go of this three so that they may get some game time elsewhere, but we shall also be recruiting players who have been training with us for the last two weeks and hopefully by the end of this week we shall have finalized with the new signings.”said Nadwa in an interview with the club portal.
The team is scheduled to play two friendlies over the weekend against Vapour FC and Gor Mahia on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th January.
However,Thika remains doubtful of participating in Kenya Premier League next season after baing relegated for failure to meet club licensing requirements set by football governing body.
