Portuguese tactician Vitor Salvado has joined the list of international coaches interested in the Walia Ibex head coach position.
Salvado who is a former Benfica player is romoured to be one of the coaches to be in direct competition with unnamed Ethiopian tacticians.
The Walia Ibex coaching position is vacant after EFF decided against renewing Gebremendhin Haile contract recently.
Former Portugal assistant coach Jara Barcelo together with former Benin national team coach Caesean Daniel and former Belgium international Johan Buyle have also shown interest in the job.
Franco Doumbe of Afrique Sports Management confirms to soka25east.com that he is representing Salvado and says that he has filed his job application with EFF.
“I have been given the mandate to handle the issue with regards to Salvado’s interest to coach Walia Ibex. We have already filed the job application with EFF,” Doumbe says.
