Seychelles representatives in the CAF Confederations Cup, St Michel United Football Club touched down safely in Sudan on Thursday 9th February ahead of the their encounter aganist hosts Al Hilal.
St Michel left Victoria on Tuesday 7th February at 2300 hours local time aboard charter plane to the city of El Obeid which is 700km from Khartoum for the match that will take place on Friday 10th February at Sheikan Stadium that has a capacity to hold 25,000 spectators.
According to a statement from the club, the team was well received and are currently looking forward to train at the pitch as they prepare for the important first leg fixture.
“We arrived safely and were well received. The boys are currently having breakfast,”reads the statement from club manager Adrew Jean-Louis.
“The weather is hot over here but sure we shall adapt. We are looking forward to train in the evening at around 5pm.
