In the match against the Angolan side, which kicked off at 4pm local time, the Mike Mutebi boys started with a clear goal intent, almost going a goal up inside first twenty minutes into the match.
Ugandan Cranes defender Joseph Ochaya nearly gave KCCA FC the lead in the 18th minute after exchanging passes with Derrick Nsibambi before unleashing a thunderbolt strike that went inches from the goalmouth.
Premiero then turned tides, pushing hard for an opener through inroads done by danger man Solomao Troco and but all their efforts were thwarted by KCCA backline marshaled by on form Kavuma as both teams left for half time break goalless.
The second half got underway with unrelenting KCCA fighting for an opener , pushing Premiero back into their half, and Mutyaba should have done better in the 46 minute, only for his weak shot to be saved by the keeper.
At the start , Mike Mutebi, the Kasasiro boys’ coach made his first substitution, calling out Derrick Nsimbabi for Majegwa.
The subsitution bore fruits intestifying attacks in Premeiro half.Geoffrey Sserunkuma showed his class above the rest when he scored in the 48th minute off from Cameo corner kick to put his side on the lead.
Premiero piled pressure having been a goal down, aware that anything short of a win would compromise their chances of survival but the solid KCCA defence kept them at a bay.
KCCA are now one foot in the next round though will need a draw of any kind or rather a win to book their slot in next round while Premiero will be looking forward to turn tables with simply a win of any kind in the second leg set to be played at their home ground.
