Uganda international midfielder Khalid Aucho has signed for Serbian side Red Star Belgrade after parting ways with South Africa’s side Baroka FC.
Aucho 23, joined the Premier Soccer League outfit at the beggining of the season but he struggled to fit in the club making his club to release him together with his fellow countryman Geoffrey Massa.
“Aucho has signed for Red Star Belgrade and is currently waiting for the issuing of his visa before he joins the team,” says his representative Ivica Stankovic in an interview with a section of South Africa media.
He joins one of succesful clubs from Serbia though the details of the length of the contract have not come into surface for a player who is described as tireless runner, efficiently protecting the defence winning midfield battles and providing well timed passes.
The midfielder has played football in various clubs such as Jinja Municipal Council F.C in 2009 to 2010, Water F.C Uganda in 2010 ,2012, and also Simba F.C of Uganda.
Aucho has also played for Tusker FC and Gor Mahia FC in Kenya.The midfielder has represented his country 17 times and scored two international goals.
