Zesco United went two points clear at the top of Zambian Super League with a hard fought 1-0 win over National Assembly on Saturday 16th.
Despite being reduced to 10 men a few minutes past half hour mark, Zesco went ahead in the 46th through Jackson Mwanza’s only goal of the game.
Zesco held on to the vital goal which secured them three priceless points , pushing their tally to 20 from 8 matches, two points above Zanaco who drew 1-1 against Nkana.
David Owino fully participated in the win as his impressive first season at the Zambian side continued.

The Harambee Stars first choice custodian continues to enjoy play time at Lillestrom where he has also cemented his position as the first choice keeper.
The Norwegian top tier side registered two wins on the trot beating Molde 2-1 on Wednesday 13th before thrashing Sarpsborg 3-1 on Saturday 16th to move to 8th in the league with 12 points from 9 matches.

The Harambee Stars skipper was on Saturday 16th recieved the Australian Southampton supporters award for an outstanding season with the Saints that has seen him score three goals.
The defensive midfielder clocked 90 minutes as Southampton ended home fixtures in style beating Aston Villa 6-1 in an English Premier League match played on the same day.
The Saints pretty much secured their slot in the Europa League next season.

Santos ended the 2014/15 National First Division season with a narrow 1-0 defeat to rivals Vasco Da Gama at Parow Park on Sunday 10th afternoon.
The former Tusker defender and Kenyan international fully featured in the match as they finished 13th with 36 points from 29 matches.
Golden Arrows finished top of the league with 57 poonts and with it earned promotion to the South African top tier league PSL.
