Zoo Kericho ‘s fine run at home came to an abrupt end on Sunday,17th May when they were held to a goalless draw at their Kericho Green Stadium .Both teams however displayed quality football with the host missing several scoring opportunities. The draw however reduced their lead at the top of the FKF Premier league to 3 points.
At the Kanduyi Stadium in Bungoma County, hosts Nzoia United beat visiting Oserian 2-1.Oserian were the first to find the back of the net in the 4th minute leading by the same margin at the break.
On resumption,a rejuvenated Nzoia FC begun the better side and John Moylan and Brian Otieno scored in quick succession to gift the home side maximum ponts.They moved to the 5th position with 20 points
Posta Rangers kept the chasing pack on toes with a comfortable 1-0 victory over Bidco FC, Former Sony Sugar and Tusker midfieder Fredrick Ajwang grabbed the winner in the 84th minute. Rangers maintain the third position in the log with 24 points same as Homeboyz.
In the other match played today, Kariobangi Sharks beat visiting Finlay’s Horticulture from Kericho by 2 goals to Nil. Former Harambee Stars call up Rodgers Omondi scored early in the second half before former Gor Mahia layer Ibrahim Kitawi doubled the lead. Sharks move to the fourth position with 21.With the loss Finlays maintain the second last position in the FKF PL.
Meanwhile, Agro Chemicals are preparing for their match against Shabana and according to Team manager Francis Otieno, they need nothing but a win when they meet the Gusii based side. Agro Chemicals will rely on Joseph Karamoja and Oscar Oketch for the goals.
