By Bonface Osano,
Rama Mbugus Salim is on his way back to Gor Mahia Fc, the former Congo United skipper left the Champions mid season 2014 for a professional stint across boarders with Tanzania mainland side Coastal Union.
Rama signed a one and a half year contract and has been instrumental for Coastal Union scoring six times and helping them finish fifth in the league.
However Soka25east.com has reliably learnt that despite the good season, Rama is not keen on returning to the Tanga side for personal reasons.
This development comes barely a month after Dan Sserenkuma agreed in principle to return to Gor Mahia from another Tanzania side Simba SC.
While at Gor Mahia, Rama and Sserenkuma partnership flourished under coach Zdravko Logarusic as they formed one of the most dangerous partnerships in KPL history that terrorized opponents, scoring goals at will.
Logarusic who is now coach of Gor’s sworn rivals AFC Leopards has been in hot trail of the diminutive danger man, but difficult financial situation at the den has derailed his efforts, and as it stands that will not happen as the player has agreed in principle for a return to the green army.
When it happens, many will be keen to see how the two will fit in a star studded Gor Mahia side whose striking arsenal boasts of Michael Olunga, Meddie Kagere and Ali Abondo who have scored a total of 22 goals in 12 league matches.
Keep it Soka25east.com as the story unfolds.
