By Jejje Muhinde,

Rayon Sports FC coach Djuma Masudi has said his side will be out to play attacking football as he aims for an away victory against Mali’s Onze Createurs in CAF Confederations Cup on Saturday.

Before traveling to Mali on Tuesday night, Coach Masudi told Soka25east.com at the last training session that he will be out to attack to soccer from away.

“Onze Createurs plays a defensive style of football according to videos he observed, our target is to attack of course we shall not forget to defend as well. Away goals will put us in a good position. We also observed that they play aerial balls, a reason why we have to keep the ball on ground much as we are ready for the height challenge.” Masudi said

Coach Masudi will be out to attack with two Malians Moussa Kamara and Tidiane Koné at the forefront. Left footed Kevin Muhire who stayed at home when the team travelled to South Sudan to face Wau Salaam will be in contention from the wing to boost the attack.

However, Abdoul Rwatubyabye and Ange Mukunzi stayed at home because defender Rwatubyabye is awaiting for a CAF license that allows him to play any continental game while Mukunzi is suspended because of a red carded he received against Wau Salaam.

Left back Abouba Sibomana will miss the game because of minor injury while Djabel Manishimwe was also left out but Coach Masudi is because his off form. The coach believes Mustapha Nsengiyumva and Nova Bayama will fill the gap.

Rayon progressed to the first round after edging Wau Salaamu 6-0 on goal aggregate score.

In the domestic league, the Blues top the standings with 43 points, four points ahead of arch-rivals APR fc.

Masudi traveled with an 18 man squad to Mali that includes: Ndayishimiye Eric Bakame (C), Evariste Mutuyimana, Yves Rwigema, Mugisha François Master, Eric  Irambona, Thierry Manzi, Jean d’Amour Mayor Nzayisenga, Fiston Munezero, Fabrice Mugheni, Mustapha Nsengiyumva, Nova Bayama, Dominique Savio Nshuti, Kevin Muhire, Olivier Sefu Niyonzima, Pierrot Kwizera, Shassir Nahimana Tidiane Koné and Moussa Camara
