Zesco United left for Burundi early morning today for their Confederation of African Football (CAF) Confederations Cup reverse match against Messenger Ngozi.

The squad of 16 departed Kenneth Kaunda International Airport aboard Kenya Airways flight at 02:30 AM local time for the Saturday 18th fixture, slated for Prince Louis Rwagasore Stadium, Bujumbura at 1500 hours.

The coach Zlatko Krmpotic’s side will out to finish the business after a comfortable 2-0 first leg advantage.

Skipper Jackson Mwanza who netted the opener in Ndola and Kondwani Mtonga who sealed the victory with second are all part of the trip.

Prominently making a return is first choice keeper Jacob Banda who sit out the home tie due to injury.

Also in the team are the Kenyan trio of prolific striker Jesse Were, midfielder dynamo Anthony Akumu and defense kingpin David Owino.

Zesco went all the way to the semis of last year’s CAF Champions League and are expected to go as far as possible in the second tier club competition this year.
