South Africa based enterprenuer and Man of God,Prophet Shepherd Bushiri has offered to bankroll the Malawi national football team days after Football Association of Malawi (FAM) announced that it was  pulling out of the 2018 CHAN and 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

According to a Malawian newspaper the Man of God who also operates Shepherd Bushiri Investiments asked the federation to prepare and present a budget to him as he has offered to help the national team.

“President of South Africa-based Sherperd Bushiri Investiments has offered to bankroll the Flames to participate in Afcon and Chan.

“The billionaire enterprenuer,who is also leader and founder of Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) says the onus is now on FAM to approach him using the right procudures and also present a budget which will be scrutinised by his finance department,”reads part of the statement published by Nyasa Times.

Prophet Bushiri has come to the rescue to the national team in many occasions most recently being in early last year when he presented a cheque of over K40 Million to enable the national team compete in the 2017 Afcon qualifiers.
