Uganda Cranes coach Multin Micho Sredojevic says he has selected his 18 players for the upcoming international friendly based on merit, and nothing else.
Micho announced his final squad on Monday and says he has made his selections based on what the players have been able to do for the team and for their clubs.
“I have always said it that we would select our players based on merit and not on sentiments,” he said.
“We have been with the boys for some time now and we have selected them based on what we have seen of them,”added Micho
The award winning coach also spoke on why he left Proline player Gift Ali against the will of Proline FC director who he respects very much.
“Gift Ali is a good player but he is not in our plans, we only have to pick a specified number and we have selected only the best of them at this moment,”he added.
Uganda Cranes players are scheduled to play aganist Kenya in an international friendly match this Wednesday at Machakos Stadium in the outskirts of Nairobi.
