Egypt national team made of local stars saw off Benin 2-0 in a CHAN qualifiers warm up at the Air Defense Stadium.

Amr Mari scored the first goal in the 33rd minute after connecting a cross from Nasser Maher before Mahmoud Metwally wrapped up the friendly win in a match that was officiated by the youngest African referee Mohamed Maurof.

Benin dominated the opening minutes before Egypt come into the match later in the first half,creating and dominating the midfield courtsey of Hussein Al-Shahat and Ibrahim Hassan.

Egypt were awarded penalty on 35th minute when Benin’s defender, Khalid Kamar commited an offence inside the area but the visitors’ keeper wasequal to task,punching the ball for unsuccesful rebounded.

Despite the difference between the two teams, Benin showed the speed and strength  throughout the game.
